Will Mormons ever alter their scriptures and stop claiming Jews inhabited the Americas before Columbus?

Will Mormons ever alter their scriptures and stop claiming Jews inhabited the Americas before Columbus? Topic: Book of mormon dna research history

Question: ...Like they did racism? The detailed history and civilization described in the Book of Mormon does not correspond to anything found by archaeologists anywhere in the Americas. The Book of Mormon describes a civilization lasting for a thousand years, covering both North and South America, which was familiar with horses, elephants, cattle, sheep, wheat, barley, steel, wheeled vehicles, shipbuilding, sails, coins, and other elements of Old World culture. But no trace of any of these supposedly very common things has ever been found in the Americas of that period. Nor does the Book of Mormon mention many of the features of the civilizations which really did exist at that time in the Americas. The LDS church has spent millions of dollars over many years trying to prove through archaeological research that the Book of Mormon is an accurate historical record, but they have failed to produce any convincing pre-columbian archeological evidence supporting the Book of Mormon story. In addition, whereas the Book of Mormon presents the picture of a relatively homogeneous people, with a single language and communication between distant parts of the Americas, the pre-columbian history of the Americas shows the opposite: widely disparate racial types (almost entirely east Asian - definitely not Semitic, as proven by recent DNA studies), and many unrelated native languages, none of which are even remotely related to Hebrew or Egyptian. http://www.exmormon.org/tract2.htm

Genetic studies have proven that the Native Americans are related to Asians, and are by no means related to Middle Eastern people or Jews. The Mormon version of New World history is a complete fabrication, and laughable.

Feel better? We never will. No, The Book of Mormon covers a very small area, as you would know if you had read it. The Book of Mormon does not claim that Native Americans used coins. You're forgetting Nahom, the Los Lunas stone, the Decalogue Stone, etc. You're overlooking the creolization of the Uto-Aztecan languages, particularly Hopi.

I'm not a Mormon. Deuteronomy 32:26 I said... EXCUSE ME, I SAID... I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men: The Los Lunas Hebrew Inscription http://www.ancient-hebrew.org/15_losluna... An Egyptian tomb in the Grand Canyon http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/egipto... History is just full of travel. You'd be surprised at all the things that happened and the places people went and the things they did.

Well, the Mormon church has already started down that road. They've altered the introduction to the Book of Mormon, which used to state clearly that the "Lamanites" were the primary ancestors of the Native Americans. They have recently changed this to instead say that the Lamanites "are among the ancestors of the Native Americans". The church has started to quietly adopt apologist theories such as "limited geography" that attempts to explain away the complete dearth of supporting evidence and the mountains of conflicting evidence.

To answer your question no. As Lehi and his family traveled from Jerusalem across the desert, Ismael, the other family's father they brought along died. They buried him in a place called Nahm. Why am I telling you this? They found this place which has many alters and on those alters, more than one, is written NHM, Hebrew for place of morning, Nahum. Direct link. I need to tell you the Church itself has put no money whatsoever into research. There is the Maxwell Institute, the BYU Archeology department, and privately funded individuals. I gave you one of hundreds of evidences, heck I have four books on them.

Bush increased spending more in 2 years than Clinton did in all 8. Bush turned a record surplus into a record deficit, in his FIRST YEAR Bush created 6 TRILLION in debt, not counting his last year....during GOOD economic times. Obama arrives with the economy heading into a Depression thanks to Bush. Consumers can't buy our way out, business can't hire our way out, the Fed can't manipulate our way out....and the banks can't even loan to keep things stable.....the only option left is spending. If you want to criticize Obama's method to save the economy.....offer a better solution. Give a reasonable way that we can do it WITHOUT spending. I'd love to hear it...cause it's impossible. PS....the reason China is going to quit loaning us money is because we racked up 6 TRILLION IN DEBT DURING GOOD TIMES, under Bush. If you want to get responsible, do it when have that luxury. Complaining now is a little late.
