Renew AntiVirus Scam?

Renew AntiVirus Scam? Topic: Infection control research articles
June 20, 2019 / By Debbi
Question: My dad had shut down and unplugged his computer due to a thunderstorm. When he turned it back on he got a message on the screen saying his bundled anti virus software has expired. It says to renew it to click a link. It says to uninstal, go to start, etc. He cannot view the desktop and the start button is missing. He cannot press any button to make it appear to go into the control panel, etc. He can however use the same screen to go to his yahoo mail, etc. but only through this screen. He tried to research it and it said its a virus. (Oh, every time he went from that page to the internet and back, it kept saying the total number of infections, etc were say 227 then it go higher to 345). He read its a virus but how do you get rid of it? (Ctrl+Alt+Delete???) Cannot press windows key or Ctrl+Alt+Delete. This screen is just there. Start menu wont appear

I would suggest - Printing this out. Shut down the computer/ Start up the computer(constantly tapping F8/Start up in safe mode/ click Start/click Help and support/ go to the pick a task area / Click "Undo Changes to your computer with system restore" / Select a date prior to the date of the storm / restore. Go to a friends computer (take a memory stick with you) go to the Microsoft site, and download the latest Internet Explorer (it comes with a malicious Software Removal Tool) Save the IE installer to the memory stick. As well go to www.avast.com and download the Avast Home Antivirus, and save the installer to your memory stick. before leaving avast register, and they will send the activation key to your email (keep the activation key handy} After installing both programs, (On your first run of avast the program will ask for the activation key) Avast will protect your computer by, not letting bad stuff in. it will also alert you when ever something try's to get in. I've been using Avast, on all of my computers for many years, and I've never had a problem.

Sir, This is that AV 360. It is a spyware. I had to have Norton Security tech. remotely come and clean my computer, for a 100$ fee. I was in the same boat you are in now. It took almost 3 hours.

Ha! That was great...thanks! I think that Obama and Pelosi are whispering under the sheets and clapping their greedy, power-lust hands. Power + Control. I have read in several articles that when the debts upon the major govt. plans become due... the deficit will be 35 Trillion by 2020! Think the article was in Money and Markets. I will search their Archives. The point of the article was that this is what the Government does not want us to know for obvious reasons. More research and reporting will come tumbling out as Obama attempts to obfuscate the reality of our economic condition while he positions himself for the next election. We have a right to the facts and he has failed to be straight with us! No person will be spared from the massive debt that keeps growing.
