David Tennant fans: what makes you think Matt Smith makes a bad Doctor Who?

David Tennant fans: what makes you think Matt Smith makes a bad Doctor Who? Topic: Case smith

Question: I don't know why people are blaming the actors for working with what they're given, but if that's the case, I guess Matt Smith isn't the best Doctor by a long run. But I guess that just makes David Tennant worse, doesn't it? Not only was he a better Doctor by David Tennant fans' standards, but he left the show for "bigger and better" things, too. Chew on, David Tennant warriors..

Matt Smith isn't a bad Doctor, but he had pretty big shoes to fill. David Tennant raised the standard pretty high, and Matt Smith didn't really live up to it. In some ways Matt Smith is a better Doctor, he looks more alien-like, has a better sense of humour, but in general, the David Tennant episodes were better. There wasn't a long running continuity that a first-time watcher wouldn't understand, the aliens and scripts were also better. In a way, Matt Smith's alienish appearance failed him also, since David Tennant's Doctor could easily fit into normal society due to appearance, but Matt Smith's Doctor would stand out a little bit. So, overall, Matt Smith is not a bad a doctor, but David Tennant set the standard pretty high. (Hoped this helped).

That's still an unresolved issue. It's never explicitly stated that he did or did not go through a full regeneration. From Wiki: "Whether he has used up one of his regenerations is not explored; in Doctor Who Confidential for this episode, Tennant says he thinks this is up to future writers." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenth_Docto... I'm also a bit worried about the Doctor running out of regenerations. Then again, this IS sci-fi... they could always pull some complicated mumbo-jumbo out of the hat and give him a few more regenerations. I mean, they kept the Master alive, they can do it for the Doctor too if they really want to.

Good question! But I think, as Spallinoaj said, the regeneration was aborted and after the Doctor healed the wound inflicted by the Dalek, he simply poured the excess energy from the regeneration into his hand. So as the Doctor himself didn't actually regenerate, I think we can take it that he is still in his Tenth incarnation. There is the question of whether the actual regeneration process counts as using one of his regenerations but I think the writers will come up with some explanation for this and will work around it because, as you said, he's running out of regenerations and nobody wants to see Doctor Who finish any time soon ; )

It's implied during the show that the regeneration aborted when he "threw" the excess energy towards the hand. But, again, science fiction being what it is, it could change what has happened. There has also been unofficial talk that since he is the last of the Time Lords, there might be a way around the 13 lives limit.

I certainly have considered little of the 11th wellness care expert. i pass each and all the before to the third wellness care expert, John Pertwee. My widespread is the 4th wellness care expert, Tom Baker. jointly as the three maximum recent docs have finished concepts-blowing jobs by way of fact the series has been revived, for my section Tom Baker is the superb accompanied via John Pertwee. David Tenant may be my 0.33 widespread at the back of him. the only wellness care expert i did no longer shelter became into the sixth wellness care expert, Collin Baker. he's in certainty recognized by way of fact the worst and not properly enjoyed. many don't shelter his Successor Sylvester McCoy who portrayed the seventh wellness care expert. My opinion is he did a reliable pastime with the area however the writing became into undesirable which became into no longer his fault.

Oh honey, I am so sorry you feel so bad. You are in a tough spot. Your dad seems as though he doesn't know how to talk to you, his words are wrong. I understand you completely, I do. I am from a similar circumstance. I always hoped that the ghosts of Christmas (Dickens A Christmas Carol) would come change him, but it didn't. Since YOU can't find the words to talk to your dad, why don't you write down all your feelings, just get them out on paper. Read them and write your dad a letter about how you feel. You don't have to give it to him if you don't want, but you could. This might help you. Your dad is not going to change, don't wait for it to happen. Sometimes not even God can change people, they must instead help themselves. Just move on with your life the best you can, time heals all wounds. And this is NOT your fault, it's your fathers fault. He seems like he likes blaming others. Shame on him. I promise it will get better. There is a song I listen too when things get bad. Why don't you listen to it too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RDW__oo9... "Ooh child" by The Stairsteps, it really helped me, I hope it helps you..

Try and get someone to talk him into seeing a councilor on anger management. He needs to take Control of his anger and with help he can do this. You say he loves you well because he tells you he does he should be willing to get help with this for the sake of his family. Talk to him tell him how much stress he is causing and that there is people that can help him. He needs to admit to himself first that he has a problem. Get the family together with him tell him its because you all love him you want to help him overcome this problem he has. Also you want the family to be happy together without all the stress. If as you say he is a man close to God tell him God is all about love and what he is doing is wrong in the eyes of God. There is always a reason for why some act like this it could be to do with his childhood but only a councilor can help him. Try to see your dad as someone who needs help and while you are trying to get him help it might help you with your depression knowing there is hope of him changing. Involve the people you know he will listen to.
