Good Websites for Daily Bible Devotions?

Good Websites for Daily Bible Devotions? Topic: Skeptics annotated bible women of faith
June 15, 2019 / By Kaylee
Question: ok so i am really feeling extremely distant from God and i desperately want to change that. i have tried and tried to just get myself up about 30 minutes earlier every morning and read my Bible and spend time praying but after a few days it all goes down the drain. i would like to do daily devotions preferably on the internet so i can have it e mailed to me and i can get them on my phone. i have tried books and i just cant stay on track with them and they never seem to satisfy what im looking for. i am a 19 yr old female and i am in that stage in my life where i question a lot of things and especially my faith. i have problems with self esteem and confidence and every book i try is either way to young for me or i read them and i feel like they are for an older woman who has lots of life experience. i feel like i am ready to move on in my life and start dating and falling in love and stuff like that but i feel my distance from the Lord is holding me back. a couple of years ago my pastor called me down from the choir at church and he felt like God was trying to tell me something....he said God told him to tell me that..."no one can love you if you dont love yourself, and you will never be in love with yourself until you are in love with Me" i think about that all the time and i try to convince myself that my relationship with the Lord is just fine but its not. i dunno....im just ready to make a major change in my life and start living the way im supposed to. i feel like everyone i know is happily in love and has a fantastic life and relationship with God and i am just waiting in the shadow for it to be my turn...i realized i have to change things myself cause my life is not gonna just do a 180 if i dont TRY to change it myself. anyway i have rambled on enough. if you have any ideas or feelings you would like to share, it is really appreciated. bottom line...i just feel lost in this world and in my relationship with God. i need some help to fix that. thanks in advance for all your help!!! =]

@Gerry: That's no answer. Do enlighten us. @Creation Detective: Read your bible. The Isrealites were the aggressors because they wanted their land. @NEVER SUBMIT: "God decided that certain groups were to be eliminated". <--- That is that action of a "good and loving god" how exactly? Nowhere in the Bible does it say that any of the 31 tribes that Joshua wiped out did ANYTHING wrong other than have the misfortune of settling on land that the Isrealites wanted. @Mr.Longrove: So what you are saying is that the Isrealites decided to murder the children in the name of THEIR god instead? Putting swords through baby boys for the favor of their god Yahweh? Do I have that right? I just want to make sure I understand you. I'm sorry, I don't think you are going to get an answer to your question. "NEVER SUBMIT" came the closest, but his answer really boils down to "Yeah, he's evil so watch it". Fact is, it is impossible to defend the indefensible atrocities of Joshua. >> I think you are right about our defender. I've heard that twisted logic before: "They were killing their children, so the Isrealites killed those children instead!" I never understood that. For me, it was the story of Lot that made me start to question, but Joshua put the nail in the coffin.

Joshua was commanded by God to take the land and destroy the inhabitants due to them being absolutely corrupted by idolatry. God hates idolatry, which is the very thing that led to Israel's destruction and exile to Babylon. Do a little research on the ancient people of the land of Canaan. These people had many satanic deities and were sacrificing their little babies to demons...burning them alive for Molech! They were engaging in all sorts of sexual perversion. This is why God told Joshua and the children of Israel to wipe them out and let none live, including the children...they were to cleanse the land.

Because this is how it works: A guy that is not in the bible did it?he is evil. Someone in the bible did it and even worse than the one that is not from the bible? it is God Will so it is okay. I know that is stupid.
