JeweIry making question: I want to make jewelry for myself (not to sell to anyone)?
Topic: Business plan for selling on ebay
June 17, 2019 / By Cherish Question:
I do not have a tax ID number (and, as I understand it, I can not get one because I do not plan to open a business) but I want to find a place where I can buy cheap, good quality settings for my gemstones. I've already tried ebay. Andy suggestions?

Try FireMountain Gems: http://www.firemountaingems.com/ or ArtBeads.com. Shipping is free at Artbeads.com. If you are on a budget, there's a resource for how to buy beads on a tight budget too...

A lot of previously wholesale-only have dropped the tax id requirement if you are out of state. I do not believe metaliferous, rings-things, or riogrande require tax ids anymore. Firemountaingems does not require a tax id, but rather discounts on quantity. All are good places for findings/settings. You can also make your own using metal clay.

You are not entitled to wholesale at most sources, unless you are in business, and have a tax number. The reason is there are penalties, for them, if they sell to you at wholesale. What do you have against our American economy. Even if you paid the price at the craft store for your gems, and such, you would still have inexpensive jewelry, because, you would not have paid the labor to make it, or the retail mark-up on jewelry.

Fire Mountain Beads
Type in "Jewelry Findings" and hit search, see what pops up.

sad to say you probably would get more than $400 for all that if you would even get that high. i Love playstation but there is no way that people are going to go and buy all that when they can go buy one of the new not-so-good ps3 slims for $300. The old classic big chunky ps3's were the best for sure
