Nice try,but that "Beatles version"of House of the Rising Sun sounded fake as hell! edit-They're not the number 1 band ever, but here are some of the reasons why they're considered among the best: The Beatles inspired other artists and bands to write their own songs,They changed the artist/producer relationship in the studio,They changed the way music was made in the studio,They made an impact on pop culture that's being felt even as we speak,They made it fashionable for men to have long hair,They changed the way people perceive rock groups by not having the standard front man with backing group,They redefined what it meant to be an international celebrity,They inspired other musicians to use certain instruments and music companies to make instruments,They inspired other bands and artists to speak their minds about the relevant issues of the day,They helped to change the perception of the rock album from being a collection of songs to a work of art,They unofficially made english the language of rock and roll(thus inspiring many overseas musicians to learn english),Lennon and McCartney were among the 1st songwriters to have a stake in the publishing of their songs,They helped to inspire other rock groups to create their own record labels,They brought the music of india to the west by being the 1st Western musical act to use Indian instruments on their records,They were the ones who created music videos(though other artists like Queen,MJ,and Duran Duran perfected the art form. They used the blueprints the beatles drew up!),One of the 1st acts to take a stand for civil rights Need i go on... I think this quote from The Compleat Beatles says it better than I ever could:"It must be stoically accepted that The Beatles were in the end a phenomenon of the 60's,the 70's and beyond were only to feel their influence." It's been almost 50 years since The Beatles came out and 40 years since they broke up and The Beatles are still remembered, talked about, and still influencing artists to this day! Now to elaborate on how The Beatles took a stand on civil rights:In September of 1964,The Beatles were giving a concert in Jacksonville,FL at The Gator Bowl,Well word had gotten out to The Beatles that the audience at the concert was going to be segregated,Well The Beatles and Brian Epstein sent a letter to the venue owners stating that if this was the case that they could have their money back and that The Beatles would boycott the performance,Of course racially separating the audience was never planned, but it said a lot about The Beatles to take such a stand! Also on that same tour,at a stop in Philadelphia,The Beatles were dismayed to find the entire audience for that show(13,000)were all white!

This version clearly sucks. There's no doubting that, but there's a reason it is a bootleg! They were clearly drunk, stoned, or both during this screw around session. It can be proven that the Beatles are the best band ever and are, in no way, The Jonas Brothers of the 60's. They were different. They dressed in suits and bowed but played some loud-*** rock n roll when they wanted to. They took the instrumental precision of a rock n roll group and added the vocal harmonies of Motown singers and choral groups. They wrote all their own songs and followed no code of how to be in a band. If they did, they probably would have been called John Lennon and The Beatles are something throughout their career. If you haven't noticed the Jonas brothers have brought nothing new to the table. Just a handful of hits...they suck live and the actual Jonas Brothers are just 2 rhythm guitarists and a mediocre singer. All the real guitar/bass/drum work is done by hired professionals. I'd be surprised if the real guys played on the albums at all. Another thing unique about the Beatles is that they never repeated themselves. All of their songs are completely unique in sound, but have certain "flavors" added to help the overall theme of the particular album stay in tact. They broke down the limits of what could be done in a few minutes of pop music with epics like A Day In The Life and spent more time working in the studio and playing live in just a few short years than many bands will in a whole lifetime. Now I know you hate the word "ignorant" but I have to say that to really hate them you need more information as to why they are simply not influential or good than an embarrassing video of them between takes messing around for fun. That's just...wait for it...ignorant! Why don't you give a reason why they aren't good instead of just repeating, "they're not good" over and over again?

I am not a big fan of the beatles but I love music. You can't deny the influence a band like the Beatles have had on music as a whole. They were just one of those bands that came along at the right time. It was also a band where young girls were able to freely and openly lose their minds over (much to the dismay of parents at the time) up until now women were supposed to be proper and reserved. Also the influence they continue to have behind the music scene nowadays can still be felt. I would not go so far as to say they are the no. 1 band every but in the overall history of music they will forever hold a constant place and mark the beginning of a new era and type of music that still influences us today.

FACT: The Beatles are the best selling band ever They have made the most money off of their music than any other artist OPINION: The Beatles are the best band ever In my opinion The Beatles are the best musicians ever, but maybe my next door neighbor thinks that Beethoven is. Or Bach. Or Elvis. Or Michael Jackson. Or Weird Al Yankovic. FACT: The Beatles are one of the most influential musicians ever. To influence means to have effect on something or someone. The amount of people who have gone out and made music like them shows this. You could also use it in another situation. T-Pain is one of the most influential musicians ever because of the amount of people who have gone out and auto-tuned their voices to sound like him. So whether or not you like the Beatles' (or T-Pain's) music, you can't say aren't some of the most influential artists ever. PS - I'm a huge Beatles fan, but I also don't care for the song you linked to. There are also many others I don't like, but that shows that I'm not just a mindless Beatles fanboy who says that everything they did is great.

It's okay. They were probably "trippin" when they wrote that one. I remember it was the opening theme song to a tv show in the late 80's early 90's called "Life goes on" about a family with a son who has Down Syndrome. Cute show, fitting theme song. "Desmond and Molly Jones"

Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" is a song written by Lennon/McCartney and released by The Beatles on their 1968 album The Beatles (also referred to as The White Album). It was released as a single that same year in many countries, but not in the United Kingdom or the United States.

One of my least favorite songs they've ever done together, I definitely agree with you that it was an early stage of the crappy songs Paul would write and perform later on in his career (late 70s-mid 80s) and that's what that song reminded me of
