Tenant says she will sue me because i didn't provide 'adequete air condition'? Topic: Great cover letter opening
May 26, 2019 / By Gillian
Question: i rented out a townhouse to two families. since there were two parties, i decided to pay their water and energy bills myself. it was all going pretty good until one of my tenants asked if her daughter can stay here instead of her. i agreed. her daughter is an absolute nightmare. im not going to go into detail, because otherwise i can go on forever. anyways, the other family moved away and the daughter asked if she can have most of the house, but firmly stated that she would rather pay higher rent than the monthly bills. i needed the money, so i agreed. one day we had a dispute. neighbors complained about her blasting music and when i confronted her about it, she said that it was none of my business. anyways, we had a verbal fight that didnt end so well. from then on, she became focused on "revenge". she opened every light in the house 24/7 and once used an entire wash to wash a scarf, ONE scarf. i told her that she had to start paying her ultility bills or move. at the end, we agreed on the concensus that she would stay 3 more months but be more careful about her usage (which she didnt heed). again, im still paying her bills -__- one day, i came back to find the temperature very, very low. it was the middle of the summer, 30ish outside (celcius), but in the high 10s inside. it turned out that she left for a 3 day trip without telling me. i got really mad and put a lock on the room which controlled the air condition and set it to 24 C. since teh air condition isnt in great shape and she's on the topmost floor, the actual temp is probbaly higher than that, but it shouldnt be too bad. to my surprise she did not complain, but last week, she called to tell me to prepare to go to court because she filed a court order against me for providing inadequete air condition. i find that complete BS. she took advantage of a badly worded contract, though on no where did it state that i would give her access to the temperature (instead it said that i would be in control, but that i would give her reasonable, legal air condition). can she even get a lawyer for this? would the small claims court accept this? is it just a bluff? anyways, i learned my lesson. no more paying for other people's bills.... thanks for reading... i know its a bit long

She can try whatever she wants to here but unless she sent you a legal registered 30 day notice to repair all repairs within 30 days of acceptance of letter, most courts wont even hear her. Now if you tried to applese her by trying, you may want to get an AC company to check out unit to cover your butt if she does take it to court but I dont see her winning here at all so I would say its more a bluff than anything else

There really isn't a need for the pilots to carry guns on board an air craft anyway. They are locked behind a steel door only they can open from their side. If all hell breaks lose in the cabin, the pilots radio a disturbance but never leave the flight deck. You know why pilots carry guns? So they won't have to go through the same security procedures as other passengers and air crew. They tell security they are carrying a weapon, are flagged through to another area, and they are cleared for boarding.

till now it is there something incorrect with a healthcare expert making sufficient to pay his/her student own loan, workplace lease, malpractice insurance, artwork rigidity salaries, prevalent expenses, licensing expenses, mandatory persevering with training? How lots earnings do you somewhat think of is left after that? whether the physician is "employed" by way of the prepare, or works as a locum, the fee to be physician is very significant. or the different surgeon.

Id get a lawyer and kick her out. She will probably leave your home in poor condition. If she hasn't taken you to court just take her. Sounds like your going to beds to eventually anyways. I'm glad you learned your lesson. I hope you don't do this again and I'm so sorry for you. I hope it doesn't get to ugly or expensive. Good luck.

Well you have access to a computer so you have some ability to research things. You can go to small claims court and file an unlawful eviction and get the maximum from your landlord. While you are waiting go to Department of social services to get aid for your family until you get back on your feet. That will cover medical care and daycare for the kids. They will even be able to put your wife in a school program to become a nurse or other types of job training. They can even provide emergency housing vouchers as well. Use the government resources available to get yourself up on your feet and keep your family together. Any lawyer is going to cost you for this case and the courts will only restore you back to the status you were before. You will not receive a huge award and will have wasted time and energy better spent on getting through this. Good luck!
