That's a tough one. "Artistic" photos are not really made by "tricks". In most cases they are of a simple context. Look for the ordinary and make it extraordinary. Light, composition, and perspective can display the art in the mundane. Most typical snapshooters are only looking for "pretty things to take pictures of". They never even consider studying and making a photo of a pile of trash or a dirty baseball laying in a pile of leaves. So just open your mind to EVERYTHING. Try to look at the world with new eyes. Look past the "pretty stuff" and strive to make photos of the world that people look at everyday, .... but never really see. That is about the best advice I know to give you. You can't really tell someone how to be "artistic". It has to come from within yourself. steve

Well, since you like drawing manga, I would suggest selling your work at Anime conventions or Comic Expos. You can usually get an artist alley table and sell your drawings that way, or submit your work to an anime convention gallery. You can get tons of practice and feedback there, and figure out which pieces sell the best and what kind of things don't sell as well. You can also try selling your prints on www.deviantart.com. Drawing your own comics are a cool idea too, and you can easily print them out at home, or at your local printer shop to sell them. If you're looking for some possible art careers, there are several you might want to look into: There's the Illustration career, where artists do commissions for clients. I've seen a few illustrators who do a comic/manga style, like Camilla d'Errico (http://www.camilladerrico.com/) who does comic art, but she started out in fine art & illustration and does work for some comic agencies. She also creates all kinds of designs for wallpapers, clothing, ipod cases, and even vinyl toys. KidChan (http://www.kidchan.deviantart.com/) is an illustrator from Malaysia who creates gorgeous art for books, magazines and has even had a gallery show. You could also look at a career as a Concept Artist. Many artists do commercial and inspirational art for video games, feature films and animation, and design characters and worlds. That's all I can think of for manga-related jobs in north america... other kinds of art jobs that have decent pay are animators, digital illustrators (who do book covers for novels and magazine illustrations for example), storyboard artists, and fine artists. The most important thing to do is to practice! Draw as much as you can, and you'll only get better! :) Hope that helps!

You can take commissions drawing people's characters or fanart. Or you can make an online manga of your own. If you get a big enough following you could make money off of ads and maybe publish your work.

Its a very good skill that you have in yourself. I'll suggest you to practice it more and then try and find a job with the police , so can draw the faces of criminals and with this you can help the community as well.

This is very odd indeed. She may have some sort of complex, but I'm no expert. My advice to you is to not get caught up in the drama. Even if she's taking pictures of you, just ignore the behavior and let her be to herself and whatever delusions she may have. Good luck. ")

If this is the strangest thing you ever have to deal with from her, count your lucky stars. Leave her alone. For whatever reasons she has a compulsion to take loads of pictures, it really doesn't concern you. If her husband thinks this is an issue, he can deal with her. If you are one of the ones she is re-hashing this information to, you can say, I think it's a little strange that you choose to take the photos that you do, and I'm not really interested in them, but thanks. And that should be the end of it.
