Is The Jehovah's Witness "Shunning Policy" actually a form of "Holding family members for Ransom"?

Is The Jehovah's Witness "Shunning Policy" actually a form of "Holding family members for Ransom"? Topic: Letter applying for leave
July 15, 2019 / By Emmie
Question: When a member of Jehovah's Witnesses decides to leave the "organization", their family members are commanded to shun them, as long as they live, for disagreeing with any WTBTS doctrines. This is not a practice found ANYWHERE in the Bible, and the extent of the abusive shunning has reached a point, where the damage against innocent people is being taking notice of, on a worldwide scale. This "Spiritual Extortion" is also akin to the "holding for Ransom", of loved ones, and family members. This is a "Criminal act", Not a loving Christian act. The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, are being charged as criminals, and lawless men, in an unrelated Criminal case, that demonstrates the shared, "Lawlessness" of this group. They all believe they are following the commands of Jesus Christ, yet they have not produced ANY sound scripture evidence, or proof that validates any of their Criminal acts. When Satan held mankind as a "Hostage" to sin, our Lord Jesus was the only payment that would satisfy the Justice needed for the release of all mankind. Yet, Jehovah's Witnesses have again enslaved a free people, for their own greedy purposes, to hold them Ransom inside their organization, and out. They are using "Love" as a ransom tool. What price would they demand for the release of our loved ones? They demand OUR COMPLETE DENIAL THAT JESUS IS OUR LORD, KING, AND MIGHTY GOD, and SAVIOR. If we would reverse all of our accusations against the false WTBTS, and return to the vomit of the Watchtower, they would release our children, our brothers, mothers and sisters back to us...but we would first have to release, and "Give up our Faith" in Jesus Christ. Who could be behind such a wicked and Lawless act of cunning, ransom, and extortion as this? Who do you think? Does God hold anyone for Ransom? Conundrum...your ability to reason has been impaired by a blind guide...you have both fallen into a pit...we are here willing to extend a hand to pull you out. It is up to you to evaluate your degree of blindness. .

It's a form of spiritual 'blackmail', to be honest about it. All JW's know, that if they ever decide to leave the organization, for any reason, they will lose all family members, friends and more for life (unless they come back and go through the time it takes to do that). JWs know that if they are ever disfellowshipped for a JW wrongdoing the very same thing applies. All of it is wrong and does keep many JWs in as hostages since they do not want to lose their very own family. And I have the letters/emails to prove it. BUT where it becomes disgusting to me is that you have very your kids getting baptized WHO DO NOT KNOW BETTER YET. For these people, if/when they get older and realize this cult is not for them with all of their rules and doomsday behavior, then they will simply lose EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY THEY KNOW. For many of these young ones, it is just too much to endure. Suicide, lack of self worth, guilt and so much more often result. I have met so many young people who stopped going, lose everybody and suffer enormously. When I was a JW for 15 years, my wife and I were close to one couple that eventually pioneered and even went to Bethel. Afterwards, they came back and ended up divorcing which was a big surprise. About eight years ago (when I was an elder) I received a call from the guy who was then disfellowshipped. Because I was an elder I could speak with him but still had to keep it limited since we lived in different states. Well, after I disassociated -- my story is found here: http://exjehovahswitnessforum.yuku.com/topic/922#.Tvy7_ZhuHHg -- I finally called last month just to see how he's doing. His very paranoid wife answered the phone. She asked who I was. I explained we knew this man and his family for many years. She asked me if I was a JW. I told her I no longer was. And she said no not ever call here again and hung up. What was my great crime here? I was no longer a JW. And that folks is all it takes and why most non-JWs label this religion as a cult. I left because the JW blood policy is a complete train wreck. As my letter link above shows, which I took many months to thoroughly examine. I did not take blood nor tell others to take blood but simply showed how the Watchtower Society was wrong on blood (just as they were wrong about forbidding vaccinations and organ transplants before) and that I could not push this horrible policy on other people in my territory. And that was enough for them to try to disfellowship me (excommunicate). So I disassociated instead. This religion is dangerous to the public. It destroys families. Members think they alone are God's chosen ones. And that all non JWs will be destroyed. They have more things wrong that they ever got right. Here, take a LOOK: http://home.tiscali.nl/t661020/wtcitaten/part1.htm ALL FROM THEIR OWN LITERATURE WITH DATES AND PAGE NUMBERS TO SEE FOR YOURSELVES. But, make no mistake about it, like the original poster states above, this shunning policy is used as a tool to hold many JW people hostage for life. The consequences of losing everybody are simply too much for many so they just keep quiet and go through the motions. Vinny

Cicely Originally Answered: Why is it that a Jehovah's Witness can't celebrate a family birthday or holiday?
There is one other birthday celebration in the Bible that the JW's forget about. The Angels of heaven were the ones who celebrated and if that wasn't enough they gathered together the locals, You guess who participated? The shepherds Who's Birthday was it? Jesus' If anyone would know if it is wrong to celebrate a birthday it would have been the Angels. Just because something bad happened at the other two birthdays doesn't mean we should not celebrate that we have special people in our life. When I was two I was standing in our front yard and a dog bit me on the face. Does this mean I should never stand in my front yard?

I see a pretty good answer from one of the Jehovah's Witnesses. It has some credible scriptures. I would say, yes, this practice is found in the Bible. There is no criminal act here. You are making too much about the Australian issue. They are getting their certificates and all will be good in the world of the Jehovah's witnesses I think you should start attacking the slimy Christians in India and the rest of the world. There are millions committing actual crimes against humanity. Take a look. http://www.christianaggression.org/tactics_sexual_abuse.php http://www.christianaggression.org/tactics_deception.php http://www.christianaggression.org/tactics_education.php "You are probably wondering what is the aggression caused by Christians in India. You may wonder how can a minority religion that is only 3% of the population cause aggression in a nation of over 1,000,000,000 people. In the press, the aggresion and "persecution" of Christians is often publicized. However it is never publicized how Christian Fundamentalists often incite this cycle of violence and aggression." Your Christian brothers and sisters aggression around the world is disgraceful. Their tactics are criminal. Their deception would make Hitler proud. Their education of the unbelievers are sickening. Stop throwing rocks at the Jehovah's Witnesses and start cleaning up your act. It is a disgraceful act on your part to point fingers at the JWs while your own people suck as Christians.

Many like yourself have tried to find fault with Jehovah's people going way back to the first century and failed. Gamaliel pointed out that it was unwise to interfere with the work of the apostles. He concluded by saying: “Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; . . . otherwise, you may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”—Acts 5:34-39. Hitler tried during the 2nd world war and came off a loser. You in the same boat and you too will lose, you cannot win even with the assistance of satan. * Let me spell it out for you since you mentioned " blindness" the MAJORITY of people who are becoming witnesses today have LEFT the churches and denominations of which you are a part of.The question is why?- because they realize that what they have been fed all those years is not truth. So like l have told you time and again: One can claim to follow Jesus and even say he is their personal savior- BUT it is Jehovah who draws one to Jesus. If Jehovah is nonexistent in your life- your belief is hollow from God's point of view. My proof is found here. ( (John 6:44) No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him; and I will resurrect him in the last day. Talk about blindness...

"This is not a practice found ANYWHERE in the Bible, and the extent of the abusive shunning has reached a point, where the damage against innocent people is being taking notice of, on a worldwide scale." Perhaps instead of being so angry, you should read the Bible record more to find the facts. Both Jesus himself and the apostle Paul laid the foundation for what we do. (Matt. 18:15-17) Just what does Paul have to say must be done? "9 In my letter I wrote YOU to quit mixing in company with fornicators, 10 not [meaning] entirely with the fornicators of this world or the greedy persons and extortioners or idolaters. Otherwise, YOU would actually have to get out of the world. 11 But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. 12 For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, 13 while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.” (1 Cor. 5:9-13) In both cases, removing the offending person from the congregation is imperative for keeping the rest of the congregation clean and free from bad. What does Paul say? “Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.” Is that in anyway unclear? Or do you just want to continue to argue just to argue? Do you hate others so much you would deny them a chance for God's favor?

The JWs outrightly admit to not being inspired by Holy Spirit so who inspires them? If it's not the Holy Spirit then it must be some type of sinister force/wind/breath. The Governing Body inspired by an unholy spirit, put this "shunning policy" into full force merely to have utter control of their 'flock'. JWs you can 'unshackle' yourselves with the 'keys' of knowledge which is right in front of you-internet. But first and formost pray for guidance and accept Jesus as your Savior. Quoting from Waterbottle-“Your Christian brothers and sisters aggression around the world is disgraceful. Their tactics are criminal. Their deception would make Hitler proud. Their education of the unbelievers are sickening”. Did you know that the “Watchtower leadership is covering up THEIR OWN SYMPATHIZING with Hitler? This is a case of "do what I say, not what I do". Can the Watchtower leaders be trusted? Watchtower leaders tried to compromise with Hitler, and supported him in most issues. Even his Jew-policy. They sent him letters, made Declarations of Facts, etc. Read for yourself, and make up your mind. Is this a record of integrity to be proud of, or is it a record that they try to hide as good as they can”. Read the letter yourself unless your scared Waterbottle and Conundrum, see the link below. http://www.bible.ca/jw-hitler.htm

Only Cults do those things. They even twist scripture around to form their own teachings, taking scripture out of context. The Jehovah Witness Faith was founded by Charles Taze Russell in the late 1880s, they created their own bible in the 1960s. They have NO Christian Origin, They have NO roots that date back to the first church, They are NOT Christian, They are NOT part of Christianity. The Jehovah Witnesses are not Christian, they go around deceiving people saying they are Christian. The Christian Faith was founded by Jesus Christ. Why do the Jehovah Witnesses profess to be two faiths ? That is clearly a sign of being deceptive. The bible clearly states there is only One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism. Ephesians 4:5 KJV One Lord, one faith, one baptism, The don't believe that God is the Savior. They Believe an angel to be the savior. The Bible Clearly Teaches that There is Only one God and Only God Can be the savior Isaiah 43:10-11 KJV Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen : that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed , neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour . Luke 2:11 KJV For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. The Don't believe Jesus is our One and Only God The Bible Teaches Jesus is God Matthew 1:23 KJV Behold , a virgin shall be with child , and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is , God with us. They Don't Believe There is three persons in One God when the bible teaches God is plural and that God is the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. To make myself clear i'm NOT saying 3 Gods but 3 persons in One GOD As you can see in 1 John 5:7 there are 3 persons in ONE GOD. It says these three are ONE 1 John 5:7 KJV For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. John 1:1 KJV Jesus is the Word In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God The Scriptures also teach God is plural (see Genesis 1:26) let us make man in our image after our likeness. Genesis 1:26 KJV And God said , Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. The Scriptures also teach that the Lord our God is one Lord Mark 12:29 KJV And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear , O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: The Scriptures also teach Jesus is Lord Philippians 2:11 KJV And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 1 Timothy 3:16 KJV And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. The scriptures also teach first born over all creation in colossians 1:15 its a title of high rank. David who was the last one born in his family ( 1 Chronicles 2:13-15 ) was called first born by God ( Psalm 89:20,27). First born in Colossians 1:15 is a title of high rank. It does NOT say first creation anywhere in scripture.

Jesus ate with sinners and condemned those who set themselves up above others, not speaking to certain. He called is hypocrisy. Now those who use Paul's words like one did here, to try and justify their shunning , do fail to show that in the other book of Corinthians, Paul apologized for this and said, do not continue to do this, lest that person be overburdened and become discouraged. He saw this was taking things too far and took back what he had said. Guess you never read that part? It is one thing to set standards for your church, but shunning people, refusing to speak to them, and especially separating families, and DEMANDING THIS IS NOTHING BUT SATAN AT HIS WORSE. Jesus did not set such an example nor did he teach such evil. it is nothing but control, of your lives, by wicked men, who care for nothing but MONEY. Your leaders are not Christians, do not love God, do not know the Scripture. yet you despise others on their say-so. You will all lose your souls, for you do send others to despair with your shunning tactics, and pretend you are too holy to speak to them. You are NO SUCH THING. and even after one comes back, you make them sit alone for a long time, and will not fellowship them, sending many to hell for they become too discouraged to continue trying to live right. it is truly disgusting to see so many holding to this evil..

Jasper Originally Answered: Do all Jehovah Witnesses not accept blood transfusions for themselves or family members?
No we don't accept blood transfusions. If Jehovah's Witnesses refuse blood transfusions, there must be a good reason for this in OUR opinion, don't you think? After all, it is a very serious stand to make. Our stand on this may not be popular but we must obey God rather than take notice what people think. It's HIS opinion that matters to us. The Bible says at Acts 15:28,29 to "abstain from blood" Blood transfusions are not as safe as you think they are. We do accept non-blood alternatives like plasma expanders. If you look here on these independent websites (not by Jehovah's Witnesses) ... you will see the myths surrounding blood transfusions about safety etc. This information was produced so that people could make an informed choice instead of blindly accepting them as safe. http://public-healthcare-issues.suite101... http://www.jonbarron.org/heart-health-pr... They give the truthful facts about blood transfusions so that people can be educated on the real risks involved. Although this is not the reason why Jehovah's Witnesses don't accept blood transfusions, it does show the wisdom in heeding our Creators advice concerning this issue. Even if you don't agree with our religious beliefs, I'm sure you'll agree that blindly believing that they are 100% safe without researching the subject is stupidity itself ...especially in view of the fact that many surgeons & others in the medical profession refuse them. What does that tell you? Concerning bloodless surgery... A little research will show you clearly that it has less complications & risks than with blood transfusions http://www.theuniversityhospital.com/blo... http://www.cts.usc.edu/tfct-complexheartsurgeries.html Thanks for the opportunity to explain
