maybe get some cotton wool and just tear it up abit so it looks like cobwebs and then just glue that around the eges of the board so its lik a border. also you could make your handwriting quite gothic/ antique/old looking, so writing in italics is a good idea or in cursive or if you can, use a fountain pen and let it spill abit on the board for affect. you could use old halloween decorations too.

The element of mystery is one and the low key but disturbing sense of foul play is necessary. If everything is going to be okay and there is not any danger then it is simply not frightening. The creep aspect comes about from typical Gothic elements, cellars, blank windows where someone thought they spied a face, or did they? Trees swaying in the wind around a seemingly empty building and why was smoke seen coming out of the chimney of a long since deserted house. All these puzzles make for uncertainty and can unnerve the reader.

I made one for my English project, we made it with black background, shaped like an outline of haunted castle, and make a big yellow circle like a full moon and glue it together. we placed the text behind the windows and door of the castle.

--WATER FLOW IN PLANT: Can water travel through plant stems? MATERIALS: graduated one liter bottle,1 white carnation with long stem, 2 glasses, red and blue food coloring PROCEDURE: 1. Pour 500 ml of water into each glass. 2. Add three or four drops of food coloring to each glass. Be sure the color is dark. Add more food coloring if necessary. 3. Very carefully cut the stem in half along the length of the stem from the bottom to about half way up to the flower. 4. Place one half of the flower stem in the blue water and the other half of the stem in the red water. 5. Let the flower stand in the water for 48 hours (2 days). 6. Enrichment: Repeat the experiment with another flower, but cover the flower only with plastic wrap and secure the bottom of the plastic wrap with tape. POSSIBLE HYPOTHESIS: The water will travel from the glass to the flower making it change color. OR The water will not travel up the flower and nothing will change. POSSIBLE CONCLUSION: The water traveled up the xylem tubes to the flower petals. The color moves through the xylem allowing the color to be distributed throughout the cells of the petals causing their color to change. -- Does using colored mulch have an effect on a plant? Okay this is kind of growth, but more survival...Get two plants, as much the same as possible, record them. Place one in a normal controlled condition in some water, and the other in the exact same condition except that instead of water put in something super acidic, like tomato juice, vinegar, orange juice, etc. The more acidic it is, the quicker it will die. Keep a journal of the daily differences between the control and the experimental. Take photos, make a pretty picture, you should get an A :) good luck, it will be easy if you do this.
