start with a gud "hook" sentence. sumthing to catch the reader's attention. lyke a question or a interesting statement. then write what you are basically going to write about. then write a couple body paragraphs explaining why that word describes you. then last paragraph is basically ur conclusion which u state ur topic again and end with a closing sentence. hope that helps! gud luck

Before you even start thinking about the parts of the essay, scribble down on scrap paper any random thoughts you may have related to that topic. When you're sure you've run out of such thoughts, think how you might arrange them and what the overall idea that emerges from them is. In this case, that main idea should be the word that describes you. Maybe you've already gone through that process or a comparable one and are ready to start writing. So here are the parts your essay should have: 1. Introduction - a relatively short paragraph that leads up to your thesis statement, the sentence that states the main idea of the whole essay. In this case, that sentence will probably be "The word that describes me best is . . . ," although you may have some modifiers or qualifiers in it. 2. Body - two or three paragraphs that develop different aspects of the thesis. Each one needs a topic sentence that in some way refers back to the idea stated in the thesis, and the topic sentence of every body paragraph but the first should also contain transition leading into the new paragraph from the preceding one. For this essay, each body paragraph could discuss another way in which the word you have chosen describes you. In any case, body paragraphs should give details and examples and be as concrete and specific as possible. 3. Conclusion - a short paragraph summing up the points you've made in the body and restating the main idea in new words.

I put all of my "how to" links for writing essays on a website as I never knew what person needed which link when I answered questions. I believe there are 3 or 4 links to different sites that have info. on how to write an Argumentative Essay. My website is small and easy to get around and there are virtually no ads. That is one thing. To answer your question, no, often when you are writing an essay, you can make the assumption that your readers already know about the play. They have read it, and you are now going to offer your point of view about a particular facet of the play. In this case, you will be arguing your point in the essay, so you need to assume that your readers will already have read and understand the play from their own viewpoint. You are going to give them your viewpoint, and you are going to "argue" your case for it. Here is my homepage. The thesis statement instructions (the first link) is great and it is on the first page of links at my website. Your argumentative essay instructions are on the second page of links. You will find them, easy! Good luck! http://users.wowway.com/~amerimama/index...
