Delivery Status Notification (failure) in Hotmail?

Delivery Status Notification (failure) in Hotmail? Topic: Does case status open mean
July 17, 2019 / By Careen
Question: I tried to send some documents with a message to someone but I got this message. Then I tried to send the documents in zip and again I get this message. Lastly, I tried to send the same zip documents to another email and STILL I get this message. I don't know what is happening since the 2 emails that I am sending the documents to have responded before... today, so I want to know what is the problem. Btw, its not spam it is some legal documents I am trying to send, so I wonder what is going on. And all of this was Via Hotmail

If your got a delivery status notification from Hotmail...it usually means the person has closed their account for whatever reason. Previously, you didn't have a problem...but now you do. When you had sent things prior..the account was open..but now that doesn't seem to be the case. If you have the person's phone number, perhaps a call to them letting them know you've tried to send something, but it bounces back. If indeed they have closed their account, there's a chance they haven't had the opportunity to notify everyone.

While some detail is missing, it sounds as if your friend has not filed requisite paper work with the court establishing that he properly served his wife with either the divorce papers or the separation agreement. The court does not want these cases to linger forever, so they have probably given him a court hearing time and date to ask for more time to serve her, and if he fails to show up and make the request the court will dismiss the petition for divorce, and he will have to refile. However, if he has actually retained an attorney to represent him, the attorney has an obligation to keep his client informed and to protect his interests. If he got these papers direct from the court, I am wondering whether he has actually paid and retained the attorney to represent him. Continue to make efforts to reach the attorney, and keep a record of phone calls, e-mails, and I would even suggest a letter, certified, return receipt, to the attorney so that if the attorney's neglect or misconduct ends up costing your friend precious additional time and money, he may have a basis for a malpractice against the attorney.

If I understand properly, she is contesting the divorce and not accepting his separation agreement.
