Do you have an insurance agents license? After you get that here is how your day will go. 8:00 Meeting 8:30 Hit the street going to small businesses and explaining to them How AFLAC is a good value to there employees. You will need to hit 30-40 businesses a day to get 2-3 appointments. 6-7:00 start cold calling businesses that have been visited in the past. In your off time. The 6 foot rule. Try to tell anyone with in 6' of you any place you go how AFLAC can help them. Once a week you will be giving a presentation to the employees at the businesses that let you in. It isn't bad if you are outgoing, and can handle rejection. If I were you I would look into Colonial. They give the customer more for their money, and you get a better commission. They are also more laid back. My method of selling these products is to target small shops. Like tire shops, or auto body guys. Chances are they don't offer employees insurance. If they do I recommend they drop the insurance, and let the employees sign up on the exchange (ACA) this saves the employer money, and they can offer AFLAC as supplemental insurance. It is a win/win for you and the employer.

These are commissioned sales positions. They are not fun. You will be cold-calling businesses trying to meet with their HR people or getting them to allow you to schedule meetings with groups of their employees.

It's a sales associate job. They have one job, no matter the title. It's fine, but their competitors are generally cheaper and have a better reputation.

I'm sure it will be fine. You always want to be up front and honest, the sooner they know, the easier it will be for them to work around your schedule.
