I-485 - What is my status?

I-485 - What is my status? Topic: Mi case status
July 17, 2019 / By Lizzy
Question: I filled out an I-485 and on the website it says " Current Status: The fee was collected at one location, and the case is now pending at our processing site." what is the difference between this status and normal "the case is pending"? The problem is that I have already done my biometric procedure.

there's nothing wrong, the case is just being processed normally but they call it pending since they don't have a final decision for you yet, be patient my friend.

It means that they already received the payment and you'll probably get a Notice of Action 1 by snail mail to inform you that they got your case and you'll be notify later by a second Notice of Action for biometric appointment. Good luck!

If you are still working, you have already violated the terms of your F-1 status. The day your application for a change of status was approved (it's not a petition), your L-1 status ended and your F-1 status began. You cannot be in two non-immigrant statuses at the same time. You are now in the F-1 status. You are no longer in the L-1 status. If you are working, you are working illegally. If you are working illegally, you are subject to arrest and removal. If you worked for a single minute while in the F-1 status, you are now out-of-status. You cannot work tomorrow, let alone until the end of July. You are not eligible for reinstatement as an F-1 because you engaged in unauthorized employment. You are currently out-of-status, deportable, and have no way to fix it without leaving the U.S., obtaining an F-1 visa, and returning as an F-1 student.
