June 17, 2019 / By Linsy
Question: Ok so heres the deal. I graduated last june and took a year off to work for some money for college. i really would like to go to scad aka my dream college. im not rich but i can work things out. but what i want to know is do i have a chance? I don't have excellent grades and i really kinda suck at math. if i could give an over view my high school grades were c's, d's, with some a's in english and history. My strong point is art. I only got fantastic grades in art class lol. and i know my sat score isn't perfect either. the only real talent i have is art. so do i have a shot at getting in or do i need to find another option. really i dnt want to find another college but if i have to i must.

SCAD gives admission preference to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher. If you have been out of high school for more than one year then you would not be required to submit SAT scores. Students are also encouraged to submit supplementary materials such as a statement of purpose, resume or letters of recommendation. When we review your file we would take all these materials into consideration so the supplementary materials could make up for a lower GPA. Your GPA is powerful and your resume seems constructive too. SCAD demands an SAT composite score of 1410, this is even decrease than the national general. severe examining and math on my own it can be a 940, so which you qualify. reliable success!
