Is this going to affect my ability to get a job? Topic: How to write a cheque in usa
June 25, 2019 / By Edana
Question: I've tried to kill myself before but im not sure if it's on my permanent record. How can I check? I was never in a hospital. I have seen a psychologist. Some school staff know and try to help my with this. It says depression on my medical record and and prozac next to medications even though I no longer take prozac. Will this affect my ability to get a job in the future?

No, it wouldn't be on any record most jobs would check unless perhaps if you become a spy or some such job where your dependability is of major concern. An arrest would be on your record. They do not check medical record as that is illegal. (Dr./patient confidentiality)(at least in the USA) They might give you tests to check out your sanity and logic etc. but that's about it. I wouldn't go into law enforcement or anything with a weapon. You don't need temptations. This world is mighty cruel at times and there are a fair amount of people who at least think about ending it all. Find jobs that you will enjoy to some extent. A job gives you fulfillment. Good for the old ego. Know you are not alone in your struggles. Always have an idea on where you can go when a major problem arises. When you feel good, write a list of things that make you feel good that you can refer to when you're too uptight to remember them any other way. Get good physical exercise, get outside and join good stuff. Push your mental fears away. If you ever feel like taking your fear or anger out on others then seek help as you always lose when you begin to get out of control.

It relies upon on the place you prefer to paintings, what the tattoo is, etc. If the tattoo has a non secular meaning, they could't valid discriminate, yet while it would not, i've got faith they could. My uncle replaced into denied a job as quickly as using fact he had long hair (that replaced into interior the 70's, in spite of the undeniable fact that - so maybe issues have replaced). the two way, if the employer relatively would not like the tattoo, he will only discover "yet one extra reason" to no longer hire you. i could be constructive to get a small tattoo, in case you get one in any respect, in a discrete area the place you could cover it if mandatory.

By no means am I an expert, but I don't think most jobs are allowed to use your past health as factors in the hiring process. There are exceptions though. Any high stress, high risk job may require a mental exam, which your past may factor into. (You're not applying to be a police officer or an astronaut, are you?)

Well if they check ur medical record it will show that you are on medication. but if you no longer take them then you should be fine. never really have been asked or taken any test regarding that issue though so you should be good.

Not all that information is kept completely confidential unless you are getting a job with the CIA or NSA. They are the only ones who check your psychological state background.

I would hazard a guess that psychological problems are of an emotional nature, and are not based in logic. Since our ability to reason is based in logic, (although most of us include at least some emotional considerations in our reasoning), then a psychological problem would indeed be a roadblock to our chosen mode of logical reasoning. However, I would not use the word "just" to describe a psychological problem, since that word simplifies the problem, which is, in actuality, extremely convoluted. I do not see any connection between this concept and the idea that psychologists are philosophically sound, or that they have a positive ethical future in mind for their patients. Treating the second part of your statement separately, however, I would be willing to say that the majority of psychologists practice their profession because they care about people and want to help them (emotional considerations not necessarily based on logic), but they have been taught a method of helping people which is based on logic. This is a profession which is extremely inexact, and even with the best intentions will be laden with mistakes, usually based on inferior understanding of the issues of each particular patient. So, even though psychologists do help a huge number of people, I still don't know if I would call a psychologist "philosophically sound". I would say, however, that most psychologists have a positive ethical future in mind for their patients, although I would like to point out that what someone else has in mind for you is not necessarily what you would wish to happen in your life. Very tricky, the whole subject.
