Christians what are some books or things that'll teach me how to give good advice?

Christians what are some books or things that'll teach me how to give good advice? Topic: How to develop skills in writing
June 16, 2019 / By Nahor
Question: only give advice on things I've been through myself. Other than that I keep quiet and nod in understanding. My friend wants someone who can give advice ALONG with just listening sometime so I want to learn how to give advice even on things I have no clue about. What books will teach me how to give advice even on things I don't know about? Or how do I develop that skill?

Pray, and ask God for wisdom. I asked him to give me wisdom so that I could help others. And sometimes, asking a pastor or two is good also, since they are well versed in the bible and what the scriptures mean. I ask my pastor many times about things I'm not sure how to answer, and she's been a blessing in more ways than one. The bible is the best teacher, it's sometimes hard to understand. I have a study bible called the "Life Application Study Bible", the New Living Translation. This translation is paraphrased, meaning it's written in different words without changing the meaning of the scripture. It has footnotes which explains what the scripture is talking about, in layman's terms. It's been invaluable to me, and I recommend it to everyone when they're looking for material. You can get it in regular or large print.

Shapes (cut out different shapes---use one color because you don't want the child to get their colors and shapes mixed up), colors (have one shape---like a square and cut out different colors and let her name them just like the above activity), her name (putting the letters in order---not writing it), numbers (counting beans or socks). Laundry is the best way to teach toddlers. Talk about the different colors, the actual item (shirts, shorts, skirts, pants, etc.). Help her learn to fold socks and washcloths. Get different colored dry beans and help her sort them into different bowls. This will help her in pre-k. Patterning. Try to show patterns with your colored squares. Red, green, red, green, etc. Then later you can get into harder patterns: red blue green, red blue ______. You ask, "What comes next?" Games: Candyland, Hi-Ho Cherry-O and regular playing cards. Play-doh (make shapes or things around the house) Stickers--help with small motor skills magnetic drawing board--help her draw shapes, etc. Have fun! >>

Start with the Holy Bible (KJV);the study kind works best. There are many spiritual books on all situations;lonliness,marriage,depression... The best books I've read came from second hand shops;'Left Behind' series {which never read, but known about...}are supposed to be great books to help explain things easier, but from a more fictional stand point. Hope this helps,GOD bless!

More than a Carpenter - Josh McDowell - Its a thin book, easy to read - Josh McDowell was a Criminal Lawyer, I believe, who decided to "prove" that Jesus didn't really exist, but in the process, he became a believer because he just couldn't disprove it! Its written for new Christians. http://www.amazon.com/More-Than-Carpente... Also a great site your fiance could visit which has loads of great information is http://christiananswers.net It answers all the "hard" questions. God Bless.
