Filipinos are required to obtain visas when traveling to the United Arab Emirates. Visa applications can be lodged through the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Manila, Philippines If applying by mail: Once the documents and application have been received, the applicant will be sent an email receipt with their document tracking number which they can use to track the status of their application through the website. Applications sent by mail can take up to 6-7 business days to process from the date of receipt.

Okay, today without any criticism:) I am quiet sure that you don't have any proof on hand that your employee accepted working on a tourist visa. Also YOU were the employer and was on YOU to provide him with the proper visa. Beside this, in a former post you mentioned that he was harassing you all the time for the visa. Therefore I do NOT believe that this employee accepted his visa situation. Key question: is this person still in the UAE or is he back in India? If still in the country, on which kind of visa? If back in India then there isn't anything you can do. Also does this person any evidence of what he posts and you call a lie? Any email print outs, etc? You maybe just should let the whole thing go and sooner or later the blogger will find other things to do. Just learn out of your mistakes so you never will get caught in this situation again. What's the blog?

I've read your previous queries and from this one it still seems like you are not ready to do right by this guy. Yes, the blog sounds nasty and I will give you benefit of doubt that you didn't indulge in those activities. But as you said , he did also mention your illegal manner of hiring individuals which is accurate. So your recourse is limited. You mentioned that he took it down after you contacted him, perhaps speak to him again and next tim dont threaten him but apologize for your actions and compensate him financially if need be. First step is showing regret though but you are insistent on playing the victim. You are thoroughly lacking in empathy. So I dont know what hope is there for you

how come are you able to pay IT people to make a website for you but are unable to pay for a visa to make their status legal. What contradiction ...

The procedure for obtaining an employment visa from Dubai is, firstly the employer has to submit the application at Ministry of Labor for the initial approval. Normally it will take one week for the approval of visa committee, and sometimes they will forward the application to the inspection department for verification. If it happens, then it will take some more time to complete the formalities of physical inspection to the sponsors/employers establishment. Once they approved, the Immigration dept will issue the visa on the next day. Welcome to Dubai

It's dependent upon number of different factors, 1st The type of company you are planning to work for; i.e. it's size and industry. Usually the processing of work permit took around 15-30 days again it varies depending upon the company and the nationality as well as the position/title of the individual. However, most of the companies that are in real need to get you on board usually arrange for a temp. visit visa so you can come and join them asap while your work permit and residential visa are being processed.

It depends on the company mostly. Meaning, how big a firm it is and what kinda PR person they have. Usually it takes abt 15-20 days (dats wat it took me) to get my visa processed, but ofcourse i was around in Dubai only then. Don't give up as yet, just give it some more time, maybe its just takin some time.
