Question: To be able to rent a double room in a shared apartment or to rent a single bedroom apartment? For me to pay the one months deposit, the estate agents costs plus the one months rent? Are there any late limits on credit cards, e.g. when you have a credit card and you use it to buy something are there any scheduled times that you should pay back the money yourself or can you pay back whenever you want to? Please explain and HONEST answers only. I am 20 years old and I am working full time. What about a Debit Card, will this system work?. What about a Debit Card, will this system work?. You don't seem to know much about credit cards. Read this site to learn more about credit cards: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/mo... A debit card is tied to your bank account. But you will probably not be able to use a debit card to pay rent either. Most landlords are not set up to accept credit or debit cards. Open a checking account and get actual checks. You can probably use the bank's online billpay to pay your monthly rent, along with any other bills you may have. But you will probably need to write a paper check for the initial rent and deposit.

A credit card will not work for this. You will need a checking account and and some checks (or cash, if you make sure you get a receipt). Renters do not accept credit card payments. If they do, they will charge you extra for processing your payment. It may even be considered a cash advance. You may be a bit confused about how to use credit cards. Even if you could use it the way you want to, you will begging to ruin your credit quickly. The only way to use cards is to charge something very small each month and pay in full when the bill comes in the mail Stay away from credit cards until you get a full 6 to 9 months worth of emergency living expenses put away in a savings or a cd account !!! ---- Get a checking account. A landlord might not be able to be paid with a debit card Note: Not having a checking account will be looked at as extremely derogatory and a landlord may turn you down

One thing I know is: A credit card company can not take away social security income. But be careful, there are laws that can allow them to take them. Ex: If your parents get direct deposit in a checking for social security, make sure they take that money out within 3 to 5 days (not sure of the number of days that a creditor can come after the bank account - but there are laws to prevent them from directly taking ss money). /
