Senior citizen lady foreclosed upon.? Topic: Business plan for home health agency
June 15, 2019 / By Rubye
Question: A friend, a senior citizen, has suffered the failure of her business and now her home is foreclosed upon. The mortgage co. wants 25 grand in a few weeks, or out she goes. She will be homeless. She has no family that can help, and no friends can help her financially. This kind, sweet lady has a small farm, and rescues unwanted animals. She has about thirty dogs and a number of rescued farm animals. She was planning on opening up a rescue unit as a full-time paying business until this happened. She is in good health and very intelligent. She is afraid of being tossed onto the street, and that her animals will be taken away and euthanized. She is desperate. She is terrified of being put into a nursing home. Is there any agency or organization that might be able to help this woman??

If she were to offer her place for a low price, she might get a quick sale. A real estate broker might even buy it if she sells it cheap enough. She then could pay off the 25 grand and perhaps have a few grand left over. She could rent an apartment then. She needs to retire and see after her own needs only. She obviously has no business being in business. The care of 30 dogs plus other animals is beyond the means of anyone who is not wealthy. She must cancel her desire to wield and deal or she will be homeless. If she is foreclosed up on, the property may be put up for bid. If the winning bid is less than 25 grand, she will still owe for the difference. She needs to sell. She will get a better price if the animals are somewhere else, perhaps the humane society.

Poor women. I agree with 'miz d'. And what about " re mortgaging." Not a second mortgage, too expensive. Or speaking to her bank to extend her mortgage. This will depend on her age. She should get under a Psychiatrist IMMEDIATELY, to keep her from the fear of being put into a mental home. Not because she needs one, but HE can stop that fear, and 'action', should someone take that step.. She should contact other Animal Rescue Groups to help with the animals for this time. Can she not rent out pieces of land to city folk, who don't have land, and want to grow their own veggies. To help with income. If you are running an animal shelter you need sponsors, you can't just go into your capital.

First of all(if in the USA), it's true that she should get rid of the animals. Not only is it a financial drain to have them but unless she's licensed, it's also illegal. Secondly, because of the housing market and all the foreclosures, their are new programs being implemented to help people from being foreclosed on. I'm not sure where to find out about these programs but I'm sure there is an Internet site somewhere that tells about them within the government sites.

Get in touch with the humane society and have the animals removed that she has been hoarding with the thought she could one time profit from it. Just the feed for these animals has put her in the red. Once she gets rid of them she should consider contacting the bank about a reverse mortgage or an extension with the assurance that she will no longer be taking care of animals that take away her income. It is wonderful to love animals, I have a Lala sis in law that takes in stray cats and has them 'fixed' and then gives them away--she is on full SSI and hardly afford to eat after she buys her designer clothes and plays the game. The lady may be sharp but not so in many areas. Sorry but I have seen this happen time and again thru the years. Try to guide her in the right direction. ;0)

Eavan Originally Answered: Why are people saying that Lady Gaga is the new Michael Jackson?
She's good, I like her as an artist, but she's certainly no MJ, and never will be. I think she might go very well in life with her level of talent, but not Michael Jackson's definition of well. I don't think she will be at MJ's level of success. And I mean no disrespect to Lady Gaga or her fans. She's good, but not Michael Jackson good. And you are right, she has more of a Techno style, not really Pop like MJ. I hope I've helped.
