What could be wrong with my case?

What could be wrong with my case? Topic: What is case stand for

Question: Last year, I was it by a car when I was on a bike (not motorbike). I don't remember the actual incident, but do remember waiting at the corner for the light to change. Assuming (since I don't remember) that there was a 50/50 split with negligence, why would a lawyer not want to move forward with this case? I've gone through 2 attorneys. The first one dropped it after several months following an unsuccessful mediation, and the second dropped it within a week. Neither firm could give me any explanation why. I was told they are not required to, but couldn't they at least give a simple sentence or two telling me what's wrong. By the way, the person who hit me was driving a rental.

In most states if it is a 50/50 split there is no point in suing, you were at as much fault as the cars driver. If it is as much your fault as his then he has no more responsibility to pay you then you have to pay him. What do you want to happen? If yo are as much as fault as he is should you have to pay for all his damage? No attorney should take this case it is frivolous. You don't have a leg to stand on. If you really want to sue take the driver to small claims and be your own attorney, but good luck getting anything.

They probably figured that it wasn't worth enough money to pursue. Personal injury attorneys are only interested in big money cases. It is possible that the person who hit you is uninsured, and there is no money available to collect. Another possibility is they are questioning your credibility. Unless you have doctors records proving a significant injury - your story may not hold up in court. Whatever the reason, they should have given you an explanation as to why they will not move forward with your case.

Your clarinet in its case is, I assume, small enough to either be packed in your checked baggage or be brought on the plane with you as a carry-on. Either way, it should be fine. If you already have a hard case, go ahead and use that.

I assume the hard case offers more protection, so, according to the old proverb, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure", you should use the hard case.
