What makes a person uneducated? Topic: Common college writing assignments
July 17, 2019 / By Ash
Question: I am clearly educated, that's not why I am asking this question. Of course, it cannot be about X amount of college credits, because I felt I learned more outside of school than I did in the class room or the textbook, and I retained everything in both. SO, what makes a person uneducated? We don't even need to go to writing assignments, the absurdity of which would be apparent. Ask a high school graduate with no other question how to spell the possessive form of "their" and they well, undoubtedly, spell it they're. This is a general rule that fits the uneducated class. Now, I am not talking about older people. Older people have a reason for being uneducated. But us young ones have no excuse except for being idiots! I am 24, a college student, and I often read a book "The Great Works of Aristotle". He writes of topics of which seem to be casual observation. However, it is so interesting. For instance, a thing is rough because some of it's parts are farther from the other edges. Obviously, this is true and common sense. However, I never knew it before I read it.

People are uneducated about it because they think that they are already educated about it, however, in reality they have been grossly misinformed. Erick: No, smoking cannabis does not kill brain cells. Sammy Jo: The gateway theory is a theory for a reason, because it's yet to be proven true. Why? Because it was an idea perpetuated by the government as a scare tactic to keep kids off of drugs. Lying to kids is not the correct way to keep them off of drugs. Cannabis does not kill brain cells. This is a myth that has been passed on for years, but the myth began many years ago after a flawed study said that rhesus monkeys exposed to cannabis smoke suffered from significant brain cell death as well as some of the monkeys becoming brain dead. The truth was that these monkeys were exposed to extended exposures of smoke without fresh air. In other worse, they were suffocated with smoke. This "findings" of this study have been disregarded and no other study has been able to show a connection with cannabis and brain cell death. goodluckwiththat: The link between schizophrenia and cannabis use is so very vague and skewed. News articles have exaggerate the results of this "study" (it's no more of a "take your word for it" survey), and even then we are only talking about people with a genetic predisposition to mental health issues. And no, not every hardcore drug addict started with pot, and even if that is the case, it's because cannabis is cheaper and more widely available. Often times it's the first illicit drug people are exposed to. There is no way to prove that if cannabis didn't exist, people wouldn't still try harder drugs. Of course, we know that most people don't really start with cannabis. They start with caffeine or tobacco or prescription meds...all drugs that are widely abused. Phillip: Proven to cause brain damage? No. Refusal to admit it? I am open and honest. I'm fair when it comes to a discussion about cannabis, and I have no reason to make up lies. The reason none of us will admit anything that you said is simple...because it's not true, therefor there is nothing to admit. http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/news/20030701/heavy-marijuana-use-doesnt-damage-brain http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1253627/

No one likes to be addicted to anything. Marijuana is an addictive drug, and when you are stoned, no one is safe. Driving stoned - no different than driving drunk. Working stoned - need I say more? When smoked, marijuana releases a chemical in the brain called dopamine, which is the chemical that is naturally released when you are happy, giving you a happy, euphoric feeling. The unnatural release of this chemical ( such as when you smoke marijuana), can significantly alter emotional and physical behaviors. Over a long period of time using marijuana, your body's dopamine will have less effect on you, eventually making you into a rock pretty much. Over long periods of marijuana use, nerve endings in the brain can also loose their ability to effectively communicate (a process that is assisted by the brain's production of dopamine), making the thought process of a person who smokes marijuana slower. It's also a gateway drug to other forms of narcotics, mainly to methanphetamines. It's just a door that parents don't want their kids to open because it leads to worse things. There is nothing good about it. I'm not just talking out my a double s either, I work with drug and alcohol abuse programs in my state, and I've struggled with alcohol and oxycontin addictions in the past myself. It's not a good place for anyone to be in. I wanted to help others get and stay out of it because there ARE consequences. It's the truth man, and I hope that you soon realize that. No one wants to hire a pot head, no one wants to marry or have children with a pot head. Do you realize the things that parents do to their children while under the influence of drugs and alcohol? Do you realize the things that people do under the influence of them period? It's not good in any way shape or form. Take it from someone who's been there and knows. Peace out and God bless.
