Hello, I do NOT recommend spending money on higher education in UK, USA etc. Because education in Norway, Sweden, Finland is completely FREE for Indians!! These universities have global ranking better than IIT, IISc and require no entrance tests to be cleared too, so you save tension of IIT-JEE or CAT for MTech/MBA/etc. For studying abroad, the best country should be the one which is developed country + focuses on research + education + health etc. I believe Norway is the best for study, because Norway University are among the best in world (ever heard Nobel Prize, its given by Norway Universities). Plus PhD people get salary of 3000-4000 Euro per month as well. So this would save you from spending lots of money or getting trapped with Education Loan. Just compare it with $ 50000 tuition fee required to do masters in Australia. So you save a lot of hard earned money of your Parents!! Again, do check the official websites of these countries, like for Norway the site is http://www.studyinnorway.no Studies in Europe are way too easy as compared to India. For example, exam answer sheet is of 4 pages only, instead of 32 pages. Professors expect you to write as briefly as possible, and ask 4 question in each exam only. Start searching for courses of your interest and apply ASAP, best of luck! God bless you.

Abinoam Originally Answered: Do the credits from any of the online Universities transfer to a regular 4 year university?
Are these general education classes? If so, look into Independent study at many of your state institutions. Most of the general education courses that might fill your requirements can be found there. Some examples are: Independent study at LSU - http://is.lsu.edu Independent study at Mississippi State - http://www.is.msstate.edu/College/index.... Oklahoma University CIDL - http://isd.ou.edu/ Independent Study in Idaho DE - http://www.uidaho.edu/isi/ LSU is by far the cheapest, so I would start there. Even though these are state schools and regionally accredited, check with an advisor first to make sure they'll accept them and get it in writing! If you can't get it in writing, at least get the advisors name and make a note of time and date you spoke with them. There are many others, do Yahoo or Google searches on "Independent Study" or "Continuing Education". Good luck,

You need to check with the University you want the credits transferred TO. If it is transferrable, it may only transfer as a general elective, so make sure to check everything out before you spend the money. If you are taking the online class to fulfill a specific class rather than an elective, it might not transfer for you. This applies to all credit transfers online or otherwise.

If the credits are from a REGIONALLY accredited online university, they will be almost 100% likely to transfer. You can see if the school is accredited here. http://www.chea.org/search/default.asp The 6 REGIONAL accreditors are listed here. http://www.degreeinfo.com/regional.html I say almost 100%, so you'll want to contact the school you want to transfer these credits into, just to make sure. EDIT: Terrific Info below

Sure. You require a passport if you are flying. Your parents will need to apply for one for you. Passports are issued by the US Department of State. Information, required documentation, fees, processing times, and application forms are available on their web-site (below). You can also pick up the application forms at any US post office. In order to fly, your parents will need to purchase the ticket and most airlines will require them to be present at the check-in counter with you at the airport. All airlines have unaccompanied minors programs for children under usually 12. Those between 12 and (around) 16 may also enter the program, but at 14, if you know where you are going and someone is there to pick you up, it isn't a problem. In the program, someone keeps an eye on you, walks you through customs/immigration, etc. Airlines (and Canadian and US border services) will also require a letter signed by both parents (preferably notarized) stating when you are leaving/returning, who you will be staying with, where you are going, and their (and the person you are staying withs) contact information. At 14, Canadian border services may hold you until that designated person arrives (with ID) to pick you up. That depends upon the time of day you arrive and whether you are familar with getting to where you are going. In certain cases, they may contact your parents in order to verify the letter.

I'm English, so I'm not sure how you get passports in America, but I know it is legal for a 14 year old to fly alone, asking as an 18+ year old books your ticket. You can get special cabin crew who will accompany you in the flIght as well.
