Any good resume and cover letter writers for a Nursing position? Need your advice? Topic: Cover letter for part time job
June 16, 2019 / By Jaiden
Question: I've been working at the same hospital for over 7 years now and decided to get a second part time/ prn position for another facility. Never had to write a resume because i would always be promoted by transfering into the position. I have made a sample resume while in school, but never realy used it, probably would have never got me a job anyways. I need something that will say " I am best qualified for this position ". Does any one have a sample of their resume posted somewhere out there on the net or does anyone have an idea where I can find any good samples of Nursing resumes? Thank you for your time.

The position you are applying for should be in your cover letter NOT your resume. On your resume you should list your previous positions in date order, beginning with the most recent. Google has lots of templates for resumes.

I went to library and search for resume writing or any career/job hunting related topics. Got mine there. Got interviews and 1 offer but still waiting for my first choice. anyway, good luck.

Always do a short cover letter. Just a couple paragraphs is fine. State why you are interested in working there, how it fits in with your future plans of career growth. In the second paragraph say briefly why you would be a valuable employee - use examples of similar work you've done. Thank them for reviewing your application and resume and that you look forward to the possibility of working with them in the future. This shows that you are giving thought to how you present yourself and care about doing more rather than the minimum. Check you spelling very closely, and maybe have someone else quickly read it to see if they catch something. Use some nice quality paper - maybe light blue to print it on to stand out. I believe Career Builder and most of those big faceless sites give you option of cover letter first. Good luck! Andi A., HR Spec

Going to the extra effort of providing a cover letter will show the employer that you are really interested in the job. Your cover letter should be more than just "enclosed is my resume." You can use it to express why you want to work for Target and why you would make a good employee. This will also help your organize your thoughts for any interview process
