Any large hospital usually has a website that features information about these special care units. Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, Children's Hospital in Boston, Lahey Clinic Boston, Beth Israel Hospital, Shriner's Burn Center - all starters (obviously, I live in Massachusetts) Here's another one: http://www.upmc.com/HospitalsFacilities/... A quick search like, "largest cardiac care unit in the US" will get you some sites too. So would something like, "statistics on post op care" or "problems identified in Intensive Care Units". ED is "education unit"

how about genetics research and how it is affecting our insurance? for example if a woman is tested and is found to have the gene that leads to breast cancer, forget what it is, but anyway the insurance companies don't have to pay for it because it was pre existing. Hope this helps and good luck!

How about unnecessary, non-medically indicated Cesarean section? Our national rates of it far exceed the amount recommended by the World Health Organization, and there's a lot of contention, with people accusing doctors and hospitals of doing C-sections for reasons that aren't in the patient's best interest, but rather to protect doctors from lawsuits, to be more convenient for the doctors, and to make more money for the hospital. Jennifer Block's "Pushed: The Painful Truth About Childbirth and Modern Maternity Care" (http://www.amazon.com/Pushed-Painful-Chi... ) is a really great book that discusses all the nuances of the rise of non-medically indicated C-sections. Hope that helps!

What about over diagnosing patients with ADHD, or mental problems, Over medicating patients, do healthcare workers actually help the patients (Some hospitals don't do much for their patients even when they have medical insurance). That's all I can think of.
