Well for that price (compared to other prebuilts) its not "that" bad. BUT, the alienware x51 come in those shitty slim atx cases, which limit any future upgrades aswell as lowers case airflow... like you could have gotten http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... which are both better then yours and pretty much the same price. and come with mouse/keyboard.

It's not a terrible deal for an Alienware, but in general their computers aren't good values and ESPECIALLY not the compact X51 designs. The X51 has weak graphics card options (the GT 640 is slower than a Radeon HD 7750 or GTS 450) and the proprietary 240W external power supply restricts your future upgrade options. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gefo... You can get MUCH better performance for the money by upgrading a Dell Inspiron or Gateway tower with a stronger PSU and graphics card, or building a custom computer. With Alienware you pay a premium just for the name (even when performance isn't great)

Hi so you where taken in by some of these tech journalists like many have this alienware is no better than anyother make it has just greased a lot of palms to get them to say good stuff about it that is all. keep your eyes open and stop going to sleep boy. this technology is about to take a very hard knock in the next 6 months.

Alienware computers are not reliable ones. If you don't trust Dell, don't trust Alienware. The specs aren't even that good. 1GB of graphics isn't usually that good. The best brand for gaming is Toshiba Qosmio. Alienware is just for the looks

Were you able to choose different components?? or was this a pre-built package, because it seems a little towards the low end of the X51 line of computers. but for that price, its not bad, i would prefer an i5 processor for gaming. and the 6GB RAM??? should have 8 since its dual channel and 64 bit O/S

I think it's a pretty good price, but wasn't sure so I did a bit of research. Basically, it's a really nice model, best before the P-155 and the keys feel real. Sound is also good, which is important. Original price was about $1600-2000 CA and 3 years ago the price for a used 120 was at about $600-800. You decide whether to buy it or not now. ^^
