Geometry & trigonometry students in US high schools generally are quite familiar with the special right-angle triangles (RATs) of angles 30 – 60 – 90 & 45 – 45 – 90. (Very little is taught in US high school trig about other special RATs. So, I'm guessing you're either not in the US or you're in a US college or university.) But, 18 – 72 – 90 is a special RAT with (ugly) ratios: 1 – √(5+(2√5)) – (1 + √5) or rounded: 1 – 3.0777 – 3.2361.
